A first step is to grind the waste, so the garbage bags are opened and then all the waste is ground into small pieces. It is then placed on a conveyor belt, above which hangs a strong magnet. This magnet removes all the iron from the waste for processing. Next, a blast of air is used to blow out all the light plastic.
