Permanent magnet applications
Stable Magnetization: Permanent magnets have a consistent and enduring magnetic field strength as long as they are not subjected to extreme conditions, such as high temperatures or strong opposing magnetic fields.
No External Power Required: Unlike electromagnets, which rely on the flow of electric current to generate a magnetic field, permanent magnets do not require an external power source to maintain their magnetism.

Permanent magnetic types
Many technical developments have only been possible since the magnetic industry succeeded in producing exceptionally strong permanent magnets in the most diverse forms and dimensions. Modern magnetic materials have the benefit of considerably higher energy densities and the magnetic properties of many types can even be 100 percent guaranteed. Flexible magnetic materials such as magnetic foil and magnetic tape broaden the application possibilities. Permanent magnetic materials can be divided into four main groups.
Ceramic magnets (hard ferrite magnets) have a wide application area. Their price-quality mix is excellent. To a great extent this material can withstand corrosion. lf used correctly, the magnetic properties can be guaranteed for life.
Neodymium magnets are made based on rare earth. Currently the most powerful magnets available are those fabricated from neodymium. This opens up an important application area, where space is limited, or where high dynamics are demanded.
Powerful magnets that are able to withstand high temperatures of up to 250°C. They are made from an alloy of the rare earth samarium and cobalt. On account of the exceptional hardness of the material, they can only be worked with the use of diamond tools.
Magnets that are suitable for use in extremely high temperatures of up to 500°( are those made from an alloy of aluminium, nickel and cobalt (AINiCo). The material possesses an extraordinary mechanical hardness.
